Inclusion and SEND
We are a Primary School who prides ourselves in taking inclusive practise seriously because we are passionate to ensure that we provide the best possible education for every child including those with additional or special needs to reach their potential. All children receive quality first teaching where lessons are designed to meet the needs of all pupils. Ultimately, we aim to develop confidence in our learners and move them forward, maximising their potential in every way possible.
For some children their identified needs are ongoing, for others they are short term. Whilst a small number of children join our school with clearly identified needs, other children's needs emerge as they grow older and we seek to develop a deeper understanding. We closely link with a number of outside agencies to provide support for our children and families, e.g. the Speech and Language Service, the Family Intervention Support Team, Learning Support and Educational Psychologists. These services and others provide advice and assessment when needed but also the reassurance to parents and carers that school is striving to cater for the needs of the children within our care. Through close communication with, teachers, parents, children and Senior Leadership, we are able to target and adapt our support in a range of ways. We endeavour to develop the confidence and trust of our parents in the education we are providing.
All our staff are dedicated to ensuring all children receive quality teaching and provision in order for them to reach their full potential, regardless of ability or need.
